As Lovers Go 1×09

Sorry if this episode sucks, it’s pretty much just a filler/bridge to get to the next one which will be much more interesting.

Taylor L: so what’s the big emergency that requires you to call me at 8am on my day off?
Publicist: Taylor, have you seen the gossip blogs this morning?
Taylor L: the only thing I’ve seen today are my bed sheets over my face… trying to sleep. What’s happenin’?
Publicist: according to these blogs, you and Selena Gomez are ‘happening.’ Photos of you and Miss Gomez embracing on the set of Sonny with a Chance are everywhere.
Taylor L: you make it sound like we made a sex tape, what’s the problem?
Publicist: Problem? Oh, there’s no problem. Not unless you consider losing the majority of your female fanbase a problem.
Taylor L: what’re you talking about?
Publicist: Taylor, it’s no secret that you’re considered a heartthrob. Young girls all over the world invest their time & parents money on you not only for your talent but because they dream of one day having
a chance to date you.
Taylor L: so you’re tellin me I shouldn’t be dating Selena all so I can lead these girls on?
Publicist: Just think of it this way- would you rather break one heart… or one million?

Miley: Writing a new song? (smiles)
Nick: (smiles) trying.
Miley: (walks over & sits down next to him) I wanna hear.
Nick: it’s not ready yet. Besides I’ve got a better song for you.
Miley: and what song might that be?
Nick starts strumming his guitar and instantly Miley recognizes the beat.
Miley: it’s ”My Girl” (she says as a smile spreads across her face)
Nick: no. It’s (begins to sing) ”Mi-ley, Mi-ley, Mi-ley, talkin’ ’bout Mi-leyyy” (smiles wide, then leans over and kisses Miley softly. He looks her in the eyes, their faces close, Nick finishes in a whisper) you’re my Miley.

Director: and…Cut! All of you did great, that’s a wrap for today.
Sterling: (approaches Demi) you did good today, Dems.
Demi: (smiles) thanks, so did you.
Sterling: not that bad working together, you and me…
Demi: (nods in agreement. Just then her phone vibrates. Text message from Joe: ”hey, whatre you up to?”. Before she can respond, she’s interrupted by the sound of Sterling’s voice)
Sterling: So I was thinking we could go for ice cream. You know, to celebrate us working so well together.
Demi: (smiles) I’d like that. Just have to send a text first (Grabs her phone & replies to Joe’s text message: ”going out for ice cream with Sterling. I’ll ttyl”. Looks up at Sterling) Ready to go!

(Joe reads Demi’s text message and sighs.) Sterling. Of course. It’s all about him with her lately. (He buries his face is his hands and runs his fingers through his hair, frustrated. He grabs his phone again, scrolls through his contacts and dials a number) … ”Hey, It’s Joe. Wanna come over?”

Taylor S: knock-knock! (Taylor says in a sing-song tone as she carries multiple boards games boxes in her hands, enough to obstruct her view from seeing that someone else is already in the room with Lucas.) you ready for the most epic game night of the month?
Lucas: (turns in Taylor’s direction as he buttons his shirt) Taylor…
Taylor: (drops the games when she notices that she just walked in on Lucas making out with a girl) Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. (She turns to walk out, but Lucas stops her)
Lucas: Taylor, wait. I want you to meet Katie.
Taylor: (turns around slowly and looks up to see Katie standing next to Lucas. she looked familiar)
Katie: Hi! (She says with a huge smile on her face) I’m Katie. And you’re Taylor. Taylor Swift (shrieks) I can’t believe you’re Lucas’ neighbor, I mean you’re a rockstar but you’re still so down to earth and Lucas is awesome, he says such great things about you and I couldn’t believe it when he said you’re best friends and (takes a breath) sorry I’m rambling. Did I mention my name is Katie?
Taylor: (laughs) yeah… Ya did.
Lucas: Katie’s one of the girls I met at Speed Dating. Remember her?
Taylor thinks to herself: Bingo. That’s how I knew her. She and Lucas had seemed to hit
it off, but I didn’t realize they’d hit it off this well. I forced a smile.
Taylor: Good to see ya again, Katie. (I turned my attention to Lucas) I guess we’ll play another night, huh?
Lucas: (offers an apologetic smile) …yeah.
