What a great video. …
What a great video. Very clever graphics, loved it. Bubbly, friendly and fun. Paid attention to the whole thing. Never done that when actually on the aircraft. Shame about Maori greeting and strong accent. Change those two things and we have one classy and possibly the best safety video world wide. It will certainly give Richard Branson food for thought. If you didn’t know better you would have ociated with a virgin Vid. Well done Air NZ.

The accent sounds …
The accent sounds so ‘common’ – what is Air NZ thinking of?

Haha you mean when …
Haha you mean when she says “Kia ora”? might be because it IS another language, Maori. oh, and what accent? seems fine to me too

No need to be …
No need to be offensive, hads010. If you have ever travelled overseas you would notice that most English speaking foreigners speak far better English than we do. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t matter for most people. But anyone effectively representing New Zealand in an international adverstising campaign should make an effort to be intelligible.

As a New Zealander, …
As a New Zealander, I have to say that I am constantly embarrassed by the self importance of my fellow kiwi’s. It isn’t so much that most of us feel that we are better than everyone else. It’s is just a few of us who feel that our views of trivial matters such as enunciation are important and need to be shared. Zzzzzzzz

As a New Zealander, …
As a New Zealander, I have to say that I am constantly embarassed by the poor diction of my fellow Kiwi’s. It isn’t so much that most of us have a thick accent, we don’t, so much that we often speak so poorly. Clear enunciation is a lost art in this country.

what accent? seems …
what accent? seems fine to me!

Guess what wil go …
Guess what wil go through my mind the next time a airline hostess walks away from me? Even with their strict luaguage rules and expensive airfare, Air New Zealand is my pick, just for that bit.
