I talk to some famous musicians from time to time, there isn’t a law against talking to other people if they don’t mind entertaining your requests. If you’re a nut-job, that’s a whole different story. But if you’re there out of pure, friendly interest, there should be no issue. People are people, some more accomplished…you should never cross bounds ever.
