Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, one of the most celebrated couples of country music and whose love story began with a date in a Jeep®, will hold a Soul2Soul Tour 2007 sponsored by none other than the Jeep® brand. </p>
<p>At the press conference recently held at the Country Music Hall of Fame with the country music couple, the Jeep brand has announced that it will be the official sponsor of the Soul2Soul Tour 2007. The 33-concert tour will kick off in Omaha, Neb., on June 6 and will end in Anaheim, California on Aug. 10, 2007. </p>
<p>During the conference the country music couple gamely told the press about their “Jeep date”. Hill narrated that it all started in “1996 in State College, Penn., we were doing a show together. We took a ride in a borrowed Jeep and that’s where we decided that we were going to be together and build a life together.” McGraw added, “Faith tracked down that Jeep and gave it to me for my birthday a couple of years ago.”</p>
<p>According to John Plecha, Director Jeep Brnad Marketing and Global Communications, “Tim and Faith have a story about how the Jeep brand has been part of their lives that’s not unlike the thousands of stories we hear every year from Jeep owners all over the world. As members of our Jeep family, it made perfect sense to blend our brands into a mutually beneficial partnership. We are very pleased to be associated with these two very talented artists who reach a broad audience much like the seven vehicles in the Jeep lineup.”</p>
<p>The Soul2Soul II concert has made history as country music’s highest grossing tour ever and was named by Pollstar Magazine’s “Major Tour of 2006” defeating the likes of Madonna, Roger Waters, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Rolling Stones. Aside from the Jeep signage at every concert venue, McGraw and Hill’s “Date Jeep”, a red 1978 CJ-6 will travel with the tour along with a special “Soul2Soul” 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Jeep is also planning of taking the whole partnership to its next level which will include online activities, product placement, and special events however it is still in development so Jeep won’t be able to release any details on the matter. </p>

And so, search engines are bringing in ever more rigorous rules to rank quality sites and demote (or ban altogether) the rubbish spam sites.</p>
<p>So how can you ensure high rankings and ensure your site remains &#8220;clean&#8221; from the search engine regulators? First, remember one golden rule:</p>
<p>Search engines are meant to help people find genuine sites that are relevant to what they are searching for. Search engines don&#8217;t like to be tricked (and they can be venomous when they find out they have been). Make your site search engine friendly and you&#8217;ll be well ranked.</p>
<p>How? It all starts with finding the right keywords for your website niche. You can use the Overture keyword search tool to do this (free on the Overture site). You should also ensure that all your website pages are optimised individually (ie you should not have one standard set of keywords for all your pages - make them relevant to the individual page).</p>
<p>Once this has been done, you must hand submit your site to various search engines &amp; directories. Hand submission may be more tedious but gets far better results than sites that are submitted automatically (beware - some auto-software and free search engine tools may damage your sites placement prospects with some search engines). Try and discover what specialist search engines are available for your website and submit to these too - they can be an excellent source of additional targeted prospects. This mix of submitting optimised website pages, submitting them to the right search engines along with having other high-traffic sites linking to yours will have an explosive result on your search engine placements. It can take time - but within a few weeks to a few months your correctly promoted site could be yielding far higher traffic than the competition.</p>
<p>SECOND - Write &amp; post articles and submit these to article directories, portals, newsgroups &amp; forums around the web.</p>
<p>Article writing is one of the best and lowest cost methods of generating a staggering amount of traffic to your websites. The idea is that you write an article closely related to your niche market and include your website URL in your signature file (the &#8220;advert&#8221; lines at the end). Publishers that post your article must also post your signature line and this can lead to a flood of genuinely interested prospects flowing to your website.</p>
<p>Article writing has been endorsed by some of the most prolific internet marketers of our time (such as Willie Crawford) who use them not only to get targeted prospects but also to build their lists, brand their name and ultimately inflate their sales.</p>
<p>The problem with article marketing is the time taken to submit articles. Writing an article can be done quickly - fifteen to twenty minutes isn&#8217;t unrealistic (or you can opt to have a ghost-writer create one for approximately $5 each) . That&#8217;s great, but there are literally thousands of directories, newsgroups, portals and forums to submit your articles to. To post to all the ones that would accept your work could take days of work (even with expensive software it&#8217;s time consuming and cumbersome). To post to only a few directories means that you&#8217;re cutting yourself out from the reach of 90% or more genuine prospects. You also need to regularly monitor new article directories and stop wasting time on those that are dead. It&#8217;s possible to use article submission services but this can run up to $100 or more depending on the reach and number of articles to be posted.</p>
<p>Writing articles also has a dual positive effect - not only do you get your site in front of countless of interested people but you also create backlinks with high traffic article directories and publishers which does wonders for your search engine placements. Even writing one or two articles a month and submitting them to the directories can have a major effect on your credibility, popularity and profitability.</p>
<p>THIRD - Use a short but effective press release to inform the world about your website.</p>
<p>It astounds me that press releases are not used more by website owners. There are several press release websites where you can submit your press release for free. Press releases are somewhat more &#8220;rigid&#8221; than articles and there&#8217;s more chance of your press release being rejected unless you follow the below guidelines.</p>
<p>To have your press release accepted, ensure that it&#8217;s concise and informative and not just one long sales pitch (you&#8217;re begging for a rejection if that&#8217;s what you submit). The press release should be written in a factual, non-hyped way. A carefully prepared release can lead to thousands upon thousands of new prospects pouring over your website so it&#8217;s well worth the effort to submit one in the right way.</p>
<p>FOURTH - A nicely crafted (free) viral eBook can lead to an endless number of prospects, subscribers &amp; sales pouring into your site for years down the line.</p>
<p>Viral eBooks are wonderful internet business promotion tools. It&#8217;s fairly simple to create an eBook using Adobe or similar eBook creation tools. The trick here is NOT to compile a garbled collection of fluff but to create a genuinely quality piece of work that will impress your prospects and address their issues. You must make your free viral eBook as good as if you were paying for it because you will ultimately be judged on it&#8217;s quality - if it&#8217;s garbage then don&#8217;t expect many sign-ups or sales.</p>
<p>A good viral eBook can really have a wonderful effect on your internet business promotion efforts. The viral eBook can be uploaded to several free eBook sites, and it should be made clear that the book may be distributed freely in any way. Inside, your book should have a link to your newsletter opt in page and possibly your main products (do not stuff it with sales &amp; affiliate links as it will portray you as some kind of greedy hack). Once submitted to the various eBook directories you can expect a long term stream of new opt in subscribers and customers from this one tactic alone. <p>Reactive Attachment Disorder is a severe developmental disorder caused by a chronic history of maltreatment during the first couple of years of life. Reactive Attachment Disorder is frequently misdiagnosed by mental health professionals who do not have the appropriate training and experience evaluating and treating such children and adults. Often, children in the child welfare system have a variety of previous diagnoses. The behaviors and symptoms that are the basis for these previous diagnoses are better conceptualized as resulting from disordered attachment. Oppositional Defiant Disorder behaviors are subsumed under Reactive Attachment Disorder. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms are the result of a significant history of abuse and neglect and are another dimension of attachment disorder. Attention problems, and even Psychotic Disorder symptoms are often seen in children with disorganized attachment 1.</p>
<p>Approximately 2% of the population is adopted, and between 50% and 80% of such children have attachment disorder symptoms[2]. Many of these children are violent[3] and aggressive[4] and as adults are at risk of developing a variety of psychological problems[5] and personality disorders, including antisocial personality disorder[6], narcissistic personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, and psychopathic personality disorder[7]. Neglected children are at risk of social withdrawal, social rejection, and pervasive feelings of incompetence[8]. Children who have histories of abuse and neglect are at significant risk of developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as adults[9]. Children who have been sexually abused are at significant risk of developing anxiety disorders (2.0 times the average), major depressive disorders (3.4 times average), alcohol abuse (2.5 times average), drug abuse (3.8 times average), and antisocial behavior (4.3 times average)[10] (MacMillian, 2001). The effective treatment of such children is a public health concern (Walker, Goodwin, &amp; Warren, 1992).</p>
<p> 
<p>Left untreated, children who have been abused and neglected and who have an attachment disorder become adults whose ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships is deeply damaged. Without placement in an appropriate permanent home and effective treatment, the condition will worsen. Many children with attachment disorders develop borderline personality disorder or anti-social personality disorder as adults[11].</p>
<p>So, what is a person to do? Is there effective treatment for disorders of attachment? The answer is yes; there is an effective treatment for disorders of attachment. Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy[12] is an evidence-based treatment that has proven success treating attachment disorders[13]. Family therapy, individual therapy, play therapy, residential placements, and intensive outpatient treatment, among other treatments, are often used to treat attachment disorders. However, when compared with Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, these treatments proved to be ineffective. A follow-up study compared the effectiveness of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and “usual care,” and found that Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy produced clinically and statistically significant improvements one year after treatment ended. The study was composed of 34 families receiving Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and 30 families receiving “usual care.”</p>
<p>Before treatment/evaluation in both the treatment and control groups, Randolph Attachment Disorder Questionnaire scores and Child Behavior Checklist scale scores were elevated and in clinically significant ranges (more than two standard deviations above the mean for the CBCL). The extent and severity of these children’s disorder is underscored by the fact that 82% of the treatment group and 83% of the control-group subjects had received prior treatment using other methods. The average number of previous treatment episodes was 3.2 for the treatment group and 2.7 for the control group.</p>
<p>The results for the treatment-group were achieved among children aged six to fifteen years, averaging 9.4 years, who received an average of twenty-three sessions over eleven months. Results presented in Table 1 show clinically and statistically significant reductions in scores for the treatment group and Table 2 shows no change for the control group.</p>

<p>Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy is effective because of its reliance on and development of affective attunement between therapist and child, caregiver and child, and therapist and caregiver. The process of maintaining affective attunement allows for dyadic regulation of affect between child and therapist so that the child feels a sense of safety and security and can experience the affect associated with past traumas, allowing for integration of these experiences rather than dissociation of the affect and memory. Furthermore, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy’s significant involvement of caregivers in treatment facilitates the development of an affectively attuned relationship between the child and caregiver. An affectively attuned relationship may be described as a relationship in which the two persons are experiencing the same affect and that their affect co-varies. Within the safety of the attuned relationship the shame of past trauma and current misbehaviors are explored, experienced, and integrated. The caregiver-child interactions build on a dyadic affect regulation process that normally occurs during infancy and the toddler years. The child’s past traumatic history of abuse and neglect strongly suggests that such interaction, which facilitates a health attachment and a trusting and safe relationship, did not occur or occurred in an inadequate manner. Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy facilitates the development of a healthy attachment between child and caregiver, enables the child to affectively trust the caregiver, and allows the child to secure comfort and safety from the caregiver.</p>
<p> 
<p>This study examined the effects of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy on children with trauma-attachment disorders who meet the DSM IV criteria for Reactive Attachment Disorder, all of whom were either adopted or in foster care. A treatment group composed of thirty-four subjects and a usual care group composed of thirty subjects was compared. All children were between the ages of five and sixteen when the study began. Seven hypotheses were explored. It was hypothesized that Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy would reduce the symptoms of attachment disorder, aggressive and delinquent behaviors, social problems and withdrawal, anxiety and depressive problems, thought problems, and attention problems among children who received Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. Significant reductions were achieved in all measures studied. The results were achieved in an average of twenty-three sessions over eleven months. These findings continued for an average of 1.1 years after treatment ended for children between the ages of six and fifteen years. There were no changes in the usual care-group subjects, who were re-tested an average of 1.3 years after the evaluation was completed. The results are particularly salient since 82% of the treatment-group subjects and 83% of the usual care-group subjects had previously received treatment with an average of 3.2 prior treatment episodes. This past history of unsuccessful treatment further underscores the importance of these results in demonstrating the effectiveness and efficacy of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy as a treatment for children with trauma-attachment problems. In addition, 53% of the usual care-group subjects received “usual care” but without any measurable change in the outcome variables measured. Children with trauma-attachment problems are at significant risk of developing severe disorders in adulthood such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and other personality disorders.</p>
<p>This study supports several of O’Connor &amp; Zeanah’s[14] conclusions and recommendations concerning treatment. They state (p. 241), “treatments for children with attachment disorders should be promoted only when they are evidence-based.” The results of this study are a beginning toward that end. While there are a number of limitations to this study, given the severity of the disorders in question, the paucity of effective treatments, and the desperation of caregivers seeking help, it is a step in the right direction. Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy is not a coercive therapy, which can be dangerous. Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy provides caregiver support as an integral part of its treatment methodologies. Finally, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy uses a multimodal approach built around affect attunement.</p>

<p>How an astute investor does her due diligence on Midway Gold</p>

<p>Imagine for a moment that you’re single and have recently met an attractive new woman, or man, as the case may be. You’ve taken them out for dinner. Perhaps she’s ridden in your car. Maybe you’ve met his friends. And then you start wondering, who is this person really? What’s their relationship track record like? How about their sexual history? What kind of risks am I taking? Are they financially secure? And you begin the subtle, socially-coded process of seeking answers to your questions, which, let’s be honest, are absolutely crucial to this thing going forward. </p>
<p>It’s the same when you find a company you’re interested in investing in, but luckily for the economic stability of the world, far less complicated. When it comes time to do due diligence there is no better tool that I’ve found than Systems for Electronic Documents Analysis and Retrieval, or SEDAR.com. It helps takes the mystery out, which in investing, unlike relationships, is only a good thing.</p>
<p>Established as an interface between public companies, regulating bodies and the interested public, Sedar has become an invaluable tool for investors doing due diligence. Since 1997, the Canadian Securities Administrators has ruled that it is mandatory for most reporting issuers to file securities related documents on Sedar. So, any public company that you wish to learn about will have filed certain documents that are in the public domain. You can access them on the SEDAR site and have an in-depth look at the past and current goings-on of a company. If only we were this sensible in relationships.</p>
<p>One company that recently caught my gaze was Midway Gold Corp. President Alan Branham told me that the biggest news at Midway was their Spring Valley Project in Nevada, “ where they’ve drilled into the neck of an old covered volcano on land just north of the largest silver producer in North America.”</p>
<p>Once I knew I was looking for information on the Spring Valley Project, the onus then fell to me to find out what Midway has reported at Sedar. Looking under “Company Profiles” and then Midway’s “Associated Documents”, I found the last NI 43-101 technical report that was filed on June 9, 2006. Opening the document I found that it was for the Spring Valley property. </p>
<p>Unfortunately, Sedar doesn’t title the documents that are listed under any given company. So, while I looked for the Spring Valley information, I had to estimate the date each document was filed, or I would have been lost looking through literally dozens of each type of news item that most companies file with Sedar every year. And, while my computer may be slow, it is cumbersome even for the technologically up-to-date to open PDF file after PDF looking for the press release in question. It’s a shame Sedar doesn’t recognize this and reorganize their site. </p>
<p>Ranting aside, I scanned the 139 page document for the most important information, finding the resource estimates on page 16. They reported 2,083,000 measured short tons at 0.032 oz/ton Au (0.91 g/t) totaling 67,500 Troy ounces of measured resource. The indicated resource was 7,946,000 short tons Au at 0.022 oz/ton (0.62 g/t) grade equaling 171,643 Troy ounces indicated. The table also included inferred resource estimates which added another 7,753,000 short tons at 0.025 oz/ton equaling 195,375 Troy ounces inferred. </p>

<p>It’s always helpful, of course, to have the president of the company put it in perspective for you, like Branham did for me about Midway. “We’ve drilled in excess of 200 holes. We’ve delineated several zones of gold hidden under some shallow, gravel cover and it’s got the attention of Barrick Gold Corporation who have bought 7% of our company in equity placements. We’ve got three drill rigs drilling right now trying to expand that discovery.”</p>
<p>Interest by a large company like Barrick Gold is probably even better reassurance of quality than having several other gorgeous, athletic, attractive men/women interested in your prospective partner. I was encouraged. Barrick doesn’t leave things to chance. </p>
<p>Branham told me that Barrick invested 11 months ago for the first time and for the second time in November, funding Midway’s exploration program. Branham said that Barrick was so interested to find out what Midway had in the ground that they lent Midway a drill rig, which are apparently hard to come-by in Nevada at the moment. </p>
<p>With Barrick in pursuit I didn’t see why I shouldn’t be, but determined to cover my bases and complete my responsibility, I continued the process of wading through too many press releases and financial statements, trying to hit on news of the Barrick placement. I finally found the eleven-months-ago one dated May 18, 2006. To my great frustration, it was called, simply “news release” with no other identifying label, and there were about 4 dozen other news releases to confuse it with. Nonetheless, it was there and described the private placement where Barrick, and, as it turns out, Sprott Asset Management invested $6,705,000. The November private placement was easier to find; Midway had raised another $5,000,000.</p>
<p>So far so good. Barrick had made a substantial contribution; and the resources looked good for a start. But Midway’s latest press releases were about a recent acquisition. Branham told me that he was excited about the new asset. “They have a nice resource of about a half million ounces that we believe we can grow quite substantially. 1 million to ten million ounces are not unknown along that trend. It’s a prolific trend.”</p>
<p>I wanted to check the resource estimates and assay results for the Pan property, so I looked up Pan Nevada on Sedar as well. Importantly, the Pan 43-101 said, “additional drilling and careful geologic study could provide a better understanding of the specific geologic controls and could lead to the identification of local zones of higher-grade mineralization…MDA believes there is good potential to both expand existing resources and discover new mineralization…”</p>
<p>So far Midway checks out.  Just one more thing, if an exploration company plans to carry out an exploration program they need the cash to do it. I looked up Midway’s most recent Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&amp;A) on Sedar and found a healthy cash flow – $5.7 million in the bank (dated back to September 2006 before the second private placement,) which carries them a good deal closer to feasibility. Large resources, high grades, interest from the big players and cash flow to boot.</p>
<p>So now we’ve done a good deal of due diligence on this prospective relationship. We’ve got to know its founders. We’ve checked out its assets. We know it has solid cash flow. Still, it’s important to remember: Investing is like love. You pay your money; you take your chance. </p>

<p>As a marketer I am often asked by clients if press releases really work.  My response to them is &#8220;yes, and no.&#8221; The reason for the vagueness of my answer is that in today&#8217;s fast-paced business world many times we try to take shortcuts in order to get something done, and this means trying to save a dollar as well.  I remind my clients that when they hire someone they do not typically hire them after only seeing their resume, and that said resume is there only to open the door.  The same is true with a press release.   </p>
<p>A press release, if written properly, may open a door with your local media.  Many people, me included, have sent news releases to the press thinking that what we are announcing is the greatest thing since sliced bread, only to not receive a call and much less a story.  This does not have to be the case, and I will tell you how to be an effective source of news to the media, on your business as well as your industry.  Today&#8217;s media outlets are in the business of reporting news.  They need press releases and constant interaction to identify what is newsworthy to their audience.  Businesses like yours and mine should be supplying the news they need.  Coverage in the media is free publicity for your business and you are providing a needed service to the media.  Coverage in the press is far different from paid advertising because your audience knows that you paid for the commercial on television, and they also know that when the same television station has a news story about you they are providing independent third party verification that you service or product is good. </p>
<p>There are various methods of press release distribution.  It can be done via email, postal mail or fax.  Unless you are sending additional press materials like product photographs or head shots of key executives avoid using the mail.  Depending on the media outlet you are communicating with you can send high resolution digital photos via email, but many media companies have policies restricting attachments because of serious security and virus threats.  Email is a great method to distribute a press release because you can reach a larger number of press contacts by drafting and sending only one release.  One tip:  do not put all of your media contacts&#8217; email addresses in the &#8220;To&#8221; line of the message when addressing it; instead address the message to yourself and blind copy your contacts.    </p>
<p>Always spell check, proof, spell check again, and proof one more time, then have another set of eyes look at your release.  You are sending it to journalists that write for a living.  You do not want typos!  I have seen some poorly written and edited releases distributed to the press, and it usually winds up in the recycle bin. </p>
<p>The press release is a way of getting your news to assignment desk editors, news directors and editors at the press.  A press release is typically one to two pages, double spaced, and carrying your message.  It is critical that your release be concise and on point in the smallest space possible.  </p>
<p><b>Are You Newsworthy?</b><br />
Whatever you send out has to be newsworthy and something that a reporter will see as important to his or her readers.  Your press release cannot be an ad for your business.  It will not be covered.  The only response that you will receive, if you are lucky, is a phone call from the ad sales department.  Your message has to be newsworthy.</p>
<p>Once you review your message and if you feel that it sounds too much like a commercial send it off to trade publications.  These are the magazines you receive at the office, many time free of charge, from various business groups or associations that you may belong to.  They, like traditional media, are always in need of stories and news to cover.</p>
<p>If you want to gain media attention you have to think like the media.  It is that simple.  If you have a great new technology that you are going to bring into the market to assist people with disabilities you probably do not want to send a press release to a fashion magazine.  Be one with the media, and you are one with their audience.  Do not be disappointed if your release gets no attention.  It may take a couple, or more, for the media to recognize that you are indeed a viable business and may want to cover you then.  The last thing that a reporter wants to do is cover the launch of a new business that happens to be more of an idea in someone&#8217;s kitchen only to have the business close a few weeks later because it was a hobby, and nothing else.</p>
<p>What if you are not a good writer?  Or do not have the time to draft and send out press releases?  You can hire someone, either internally or externally, to handle this for your business.  Keep in mind that you will have to make certain decisions that will impact your business.  First, consider this an investment, not an expense.  I tell my clients that if they are looking at their attorney or CPA as an expense they need to take a step back and look at this differently.  These people provide a very valuable service, and yes, it can be expensive, but it is an investment into the future financial and legal health of the business.  Publicity should be looked at the same way.   </p>
<p>If you hire someone internally, unless you are a larger <br />
business, you may not want to spend a lot of money.  However, this is an important function within a growing business if money is an issue.  Consider hiring a consultant or small agency.  Certainly on an hourly basis you will pay more, probably much more, but there are no employment tax implications as the firm or consultant is a vendor.  Also, there is no overhead because you do not need to purchaser a computer, provide telephone line or office space; nor do you have to deal with sick days or vacation days.  A professional, whether hired in-house or externally, also brings with him or her a list of media contacts.  This can be worth its weight in gold!</p>
<p>So you&#8217;ve drafted a press release and sent it to the media.  What next?  Follow up.  If you wait for the press to write about your business you may be waiting a long time.  It is important to follow up with the media as you would with a client.  Once you send a prospect a proposal do you wait to hear back from them?  I would certainly hope not.  The same is true with the media.  Many times calling beforehand to see what they are looking to cover is important.  </p>
<p>Establishing a relationship is also important.  Why?  Because if you have a relationship with a reporter and he is covering something and needs an &#8220;expert&#8221; to quote for his story he may chose to reach out to you.  For example, if you own a construction company that specializes in the installation of solar panels and there is a new tax credit being discussed in congress a reporter may need to speak with someone on the frontline.  That someone can be you.  Because of this relationship it is easy for said reporter to reach out to you instead of a competitor he finds in the yellow pages.  Reporters are busy, and many times because they are on deadlines are not able to spend a lot of time researching certain things, so they rely on their contacts.</p>
<p>One last piece of advice:  be accessible.  Reporters should have your office number, mobile number and home number.  Become an expert, and be accessible.  Tell reporters to feel free to call you at all of your numbers.  This serves two purposes.  The first is that you are easily accessible and easy to reach when they are one deadline.  Be sure to let your receptionist or assistant know to put calls through from the press.  The second purpose it serves is that you will receive the benefit of the doubt should something less than positive happen regarding you, your company or your industry.  Prior to something that can be perceived as negative appearing in the paper you are likely to receive a call and an opportunity to explain yourself if you have a solid relationship with the press.  We do not want to control the press, but we do want to have the opportunity to share our point of view.</p>
<p>In closing, there is nothing wrong with seeking publicity for yourself or your company.  If people do not know who you are they cannot find you.  I tell friends that I am not afraid to take on controversial projects on behalf of a client, at times going against the beliefs of friends.  The reason is that I feel that the service that I provide is similar to that of an attorney in that I have a client to represent.  An attorney represents her clients in court; I represent my clients in the court of public opinion.  I do this because I understand the media, and can strategically work to increase, or decrease, a client&#8217;s profile.  Publicity, used properly, can help raise the perception of a product.  In a recent survey three out of four Fortune 500 CEOs agreed that a brand is established through public relations, then maintained through advertising.  Brand yourself; brand your company.</p>
