What I love is that …
What I love is that there was NO NEED to take over Rose at all. The pirate was a perv and he had the ability to do it to Rose who is smoking hot and powerful and he wanted to dominate her. Oh how I love that Pirate for doing so. He is just doing what a good percentage of guys in the audience wanted to do to her.

Their is a rape …
Their is a rape metaphor to the whole possession thing going on here. Guy takes girl alone into the woods, attempts to dominate her body and mind forcefully. Rose is s smart, resourceful girl…strong minded. Pirate wants to override her will and make her submit to his ruffian ways. I am thinking about this waaaaaay too hard.
