PUERTO RICO means, RICH PORT. Before the gold and treasure of AMERICA, departed to the old world, the ships used to stop at PUERTO RICO. THE FORT – EL MORRO – , was build to protect the ISLAND OF PUERTO RICO, from any kind of attack by the enemies, including, PIRATES. The real name of PUERTO RICO means: BORIKEN = BORINQUEN = LAND OF THE GREAT NOBLE LORD ( GOD ) . This name were given by the INDIANS TAINOS OF BORIKEN. TAINOS means: GOOD AND NOBLE PEOPLE.
