The sales and …
The sales and marketing types think their way is the only way I suppose. If you speak to anyone in any Personnel department in the Fortune 500, you’ll be advised that everything is sales. I was watching a special on the moon landing last night, only one channel I could find even mentioned it, followed by “The Right Stuff”, and it occurred to me that NASA is now run by admen and PR beaurocrats instead of by pilots and engineers; and they managed to turn Buck Rogers into the Maytag repairman.

“Never answer the …
“Never answer the question asked of you. Answer the question you wish had been asked of you.” -Robert McNamara in “The Fog of War” documentary.

Watch it everybody.

Probably the first …
Probably the first thing we need to know is if where the perps live. Instead of going to war on the other side of the world for “hoo hah” and stealing wealth, let’s do some war on insurance companies and their “legions of doom dumbies”. There should be college courses on how to dismantel corrupt insurance hierarchies. I would like to see Liberty Mutual fragments framed in dog do.

I would love that …
I would love that .

Oh God yes I’ve …
Oh God yes I’ve been waiting for someone to say that. I just wonder if the American public would go through with it. Unfortunately the American working/middle class is VERY loyal to their bosses and leaders. Much more so than most citizens in Europe. In France 1 million people going on strike is like nothing. In the US you’d be hard-pressed to get 1,000 workers to strike if you PAID them to do it.

Americans are too loyal to their bosses.

Sicko is an …
Sicko is an EXCELLENT documentary. It really opens your eyes to how the Healthcare companies operate to make a profit, charge a fortune for their ‘care’ and how they don’t give a for their customers. Everyone should watch it.

NATIONAL STRIKE if …
NATIONAL STRIKE if they don’t give us a public option.

This abuse has gone on too far. It’s time we stand up for ourselves.

Well it’s not …
Well it’s not surprising. Every company lists similar strategies if they are in peril. Mostly it’s other competition, but if it’s a movie and a feared change in politics, the strategies will be focused on those areas.

If you can’t see …
If you can’t see what’s wrong with this, then you’re either two steps from retarded or willfully ignorant. Neither of these are a good place to be in.

I don’t see whats …
I don’t see whats wrong with this. This is capatalism at it’s finest. Do what it takes to get ahead, Profit is always the #1 goal.

WE NEED PUBLIC OPT. i really thing it would make life a whole lot easier…

Couldn’t have said …
Couldn’t have said it better myself, reform should pass though since the party in power is mostly not a pathetic bunch of corporate shills.

Because a lot of …
Because a lot of Americans can’t be bothered to get up off their 350 lb. es and peel their eyes away from TMZ, Jon and Kate + 8, WWE and BET/MTV for 5 seconds. That’s asking too much. Asking them to write a letter to their local Congressman or organize in a public building a plan a course of action is like asking them to run the decathlon. And as much as they complain about things here they’ll ultimately vote (R) or (D) next election, just whoever from their party is running.

If the US doesn’t …
If the US doesn’t have at least a public option by 2012 Obama has lost my vote for 2012. I’m done. Sorry but America (at least our government) is skating on very thin ice with me. I already have a kidney condition which needs attention (attention I’m not getting because I have no insurance) and apparently no one in this country cares. So maybe another country will.

Can you tell me …
Can you tell me where I left my keys?

health wise it is
health wise it is

This is the short …
This is the short summary of why most countries with privatized healthcare (such as the US and some developing nations) are behind in health:

In a market system health insurance agencies and the pharmaceutical industry have figured out that to maximize profit it’s best to keep everyone as sick as possible for as long as possible while giving them as many expensive pills as possible while making them pay as much as possible for as little service as possible.

i know exactly what …
i know exactly what the point was, but he still made guantanamo sound like some kind of awesome resort, which was bullshit.

I do not understand …
I do not understand why your comment was marked as spam. It is fairly accurate in portraying the difficulty we face, and the enemy within our own system now. The system is still salvageable, we only have to rebuild it so it works efficiently. If not, it will only be like Communism. A great idea, but one that will never work.

By PhrexianReturns on July 21st, 2009 at 11:40 pm

The way I see it, …
The way I see it, this isn’t some left or right thing. It’s an American thing. We can’t let the two party monopoly on what our individual views are distort that fact. Unless we band together as one people, UNITED, we cannot possibly hope to get our political system or our way of life back on track. We can’t continue to expect instant results, we must be patient and diligent. . We cannot stop. We cannot give in to the desire to destroy. Not yet. Not until things are out of control. Then we act.

It’s under the …
It’s under the couch.
